I had a friend pin this recipe on Pinterest and finally tried it for the first time this morning. My family loved it and it is very easy to make. But what set the mood for this casserole breakfast was while I was making it, I looked out the kitchen window and it had started to snow. Perfect morning for a warm, delicious breakfast...
- 5 medium eggs
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 (16.3 ounce) can Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layer Biscuits
- 1 (2.1 ounce) package precooked bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions, optional
- Heat oven to 350F degrees. Spray 11x7 or 12x8-inch (2 quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In large bowl, beat eggs and milk with wire whisk until smooth.
- Separate dough into 8 biscuits; cut each into quarters. Gently stir biscuit pieces (with wooden spoon) into egg mixture to coat evenly. Fold in bacon, cheese and onions. Spoon mixture into sprayed dish; arrange biscuit pieces in single layer.
- Bake at 350F for 23 to 28 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Cut into squares.
